Pancake or Cupcake?

For Valentines Day my mom gave Cayden and me a "Valentines" cake mix. Well, until yesterday I haven't had time to make them. I told Cayden yesterday lets go make some cupcakes, and he goes right into the kitchen and pulls out the syrup. He must have thought we were making pancakes. He really enjoyed making the cupcakes. He expecially enjoyed licking the beaters and the bowl. When we were all done he was able to eat a yummy cupcake, and he thought they were the best. I asked if he liked the cupcake and he said pancakes yummy. I kept telling him they were cupcakes and not pancakes. I would have him just say cup and he would say "cupt" then I would have him say cupcake and he'd say pancake. He is so funny. I don't know if he really can't say it or if he is just being silly. Either way we had a blast in the kitchen yesterday! Thanks mom for they yummy treat!

I had to post this picture too because it was one of those moments were I wanted to be mad but just couldn't be. I asked Cayden this morning to go get a tissue so we could wipe his nose. Well, next thing I know he has the entire roll all unrolled in the hallway. I told him to keep holding the toilet paper so I could take a picture, and so he lays down with it. He is such a funny kid. Sometimes I wonder what goes through his little mind!

My Husband is the Sweetest

This week Cameron has been on graveyards. Last night was his last night of graves for the week and usually he stays in Salt Lake and sleeps, then comes home. Well, today he surprised me! I had Cayden in the bath tub, and all the sudden I hear a weird noise. So, I step into the hallway, and there is Cameron holding a dozen roses! It was so sweet. First to surprise Cayden and me by coming home early and then to bring me flowers, it just melted my heart! I truely believe I have the BEST HUSBAND in the world. I split the flowers up into two sets so I could enjoy them in the kitchen and the living room. Thank you HONEY for being such a wonderful husband and father. I love you!

BABY #2

Cameron and I are happy to announce that we are expecting baby #2! We are both very happy to be adding a new addition to our little family! The little one is due the middle of July. (Another summer baby.) Cayden was born in June, and I loved having him in the summer. There wasn't as much sickness to try and keep him away from as there is in the winter. I have tried telling Cayden he is going to be a big brother and ask him if he wants a little brother or a little sister. Most of the time he says a sister, but I don't think he understands the whole concept of another baby joining the family. We will be finding out what we are having in about 4 weeks. I will post when we find out!

Cayden's love for 911!

I just wanted to share an event that happened to me yesterday. It was around 1:30 p.m and I wanted to put Cayden down for a nap. The last couple of weeks the only way of getting him to go to sleep has been to put him in my bed and hold him until he goes to sleep. Well, yesterday I had company coming to my house at 2. So I thought if I just put him in my bed he MIGHT go to sleep. So he is in my bed, and I am streightening up my living room to make it presentable for guests, and I look outside to see a cop car with its lights on pulling into my yard. I run into my bedroom and grap Cayden who looks at me with a michevious look. I go to my back door to find the cop standing there. He tells me that a 911 call has been made from my house. WOW!! It wasn't me, so the only other one in the house was...CAYDEN! Dispatch had been calling my house and was unable to reach me because the line had been off the hook. The officer askes if everything is okay, and I replied that it was. Except for the fact of me almost having a heartattack at the fact that my 2 year old had just called 911. Oh and this wasn't the first time he has called 911. When he was a year old I left the phone on the living room chair and he called 911. A 1 year old called 911. How did he do it? How did a 2 year old call 911. I have been so cautious to keep all phones out of his reach. The phone in my room in which he called from had the reciver and the cord disconnected. So he had plugged the cord back into the phone. Either he is just smart and knew how to put cord back into the phone, or I am a stupid mom for thinking 2 year olds aren't that smart. Well, luckly the officer was nice to me and I didn't get into trouble. Now I just have to keep all phones even ones that aren't plugged in out of reach from my 2 year old. Well, I hope you all had a better Sunday than I did!

Memories

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Scrapbooking class project

I do a mini-enrichment class for a few women in my ward. This month I thought it would be fun to do a card making class that came with a cute gift bag. I thought the final product was too cute not to share.

Cayden's a Big Boy Now!

Grandma Tammie got Cayden a Cars chair, that turns into a bed, for his birthday. Well, he loved it so much that he thought he had to sleep in it at night. For about a week I let him sleep in it. Finally I decided he probably needed to sleep in his real bed, and since he has been able to climb out of his crib for probably the last 3 months or longer Cameron put together Cayden's toddler bed. He has done so good sleeping in it. I thought I was going to have a challange at night trying to keep him in it, but he has done very well. I guess my little boy is turning into a big boy!
The other day I was in my office, and Cayden was in the kitchen. Well, I was listening for him to make sure he was okay, and I am sure all of you parents out there know what silence means... yeah, they must be into something. Sure enough, Cayden had got into the fridge, pulled out a squeeze bottle of frosting, and was sitting on top of the dog kennel eating it. I tried to get mad, but the look on his face was too cute. He had blue frosing all over his face, and he sure was enjoying it! Cayden sure is a busy little guy, but is too cute!!
